WHY DID HE DIE ?

In the town of the man called the madman, there was a crime. In the scene, there were a heart, an scorpion, a stick and a stone.

-How did he die?- said the experts.

One of them said:

-This person was bitten by the scorpion and that is the reason that he died.
But another person refuted:

-The impact was too strong, he died because he was hit by a stone.

Another person said:
-No, it cannot be. A stick pierced his heart.

While the man called madman by his townspeople, was taciturn, watching the scene and said:

-Gentlemen, it is not like that.

And the people said:

-What can you know? You are mad.

And he said:

-If this person would have been bitten by an scorpion, the pain would have been deep and terrible but he certainly would not die. If he would have been hit with a stone, the heart would have been destroyed. If it would have been with a stick, we still would see the stick piercing the heart. His death as every death is a tragedy but this tragedy is even larger. It has not been the scorpion, the stone or the stick. Do not you realize? Do not you see that heart? Can't you understand? I am the madman, of course, and you are sane, but what killed this heart was something even more terrible, unimaginable, unconceivable. It has all the signs, all the characteristics for dying of everything and by everything but that heart died of nothing. He died because he was subject to the most terrible torture and he died because of the savage and cruel indifference.
