And the one who had asked said: " I do not have anything except my great need; and your help is a great wealth. You have liberated me from poverty, while you have become poorer for helping me in my condition. And the one who was sharing said: " No, you have not made me poorer, you have taught me that the little that I have is a lot. You have made me richer because you, who said to be poor, you have given me spiritual nourishment since you have helped me to share. Then, many riches will come my way like appreciation, understanding, respect, friendship and gratitude. By looking at you, I can see myself and I renew my values, my efforts and dedication." And the one who had asked said: " I can see a great nobility and firm decision of good in you. I can see a man of faith, of principles and compassion and by having such a great heart, I am going to reveal a secret to you. I am not the beggar that you thought, I am not the humiliated man who does not have anything, I am not the one who suffers and is abandoned. I am an angel who has come down from heaven to see your heart. And with great happiness and joy, I have found that you are the wealthiest man in the world because you have being able to give and to share. That is the reason that I have revealed myself to you so you will know that you path is the right one. You have more fortune than a mountain of gold, you have a pure, noble and gentile heart. The perfection and grace of the fraternal love are reflected in you. You know the supreme worth of the riches of the needs and of the true reality of love." After saying these words, the angel embraced him. In the city where the man, called the madman lives, a convention was happening and very important people from all over the world were coming to discuss economy and finances.
They were, in fact, wealthy people, rich and powerful persons; and for some mysterious reason, the man called madman, was present in the convention, where very important news about wealth and economy were given.
And the man called madman, asked to say a few words; then the persons who were in front and to his sides, said: - What are you going to talk about? this is a very important meeting, we are planning the future of society, we are lecturing on economy and commerce. What do you know about all this?
And he said:
- Maybe, I don't know the magnitude of the words been said, maybe I don't understand the perspective, the future and great laws of economy but, nevertheless, I would like to say that from my point of view, all this great science and world economy, are only an artifice of evil. I see people on their knees in front of the powerful, slaves to their misery, turned into pieces of a big machinery whose objective is not to humbly serve man. Tell me, isn't war the most powerful industry? How many millions of innocent children die of hunger and thirst and the few who are able to live, will die of ignorance. How good, how wise, and eventually how true can their words and plans be? Since, they have always imposed them. Don't you realize that the world suffers because of their guesses, better said, their wrong guesses?
You make me look like a madman, whom, you can't understand, but how is it possible that you see the world in the verge of destruction and corruption and you dare to say that everything is fine and that the world is progressing? That is a lie, because on each cup full of money, there are no happy hearts but real human beings, humiliated and exploited. All those rich and powerful are empires of death. I don't pretend that nothing should be given away, I don't have any pretensions in truth, but I do have rights and duties. I want a world where its wealth is peace, where its wealth is culture. Where is the love to the fellow man been shown? Where is the spirit of good, justice and solidarity? Each new day, the governments raise the cost of living, the debts of most countries can't be met and most of the time, the people in charge are corrupt and despicable, since they pretend to deceive with the easy peace of violence, with the easy peace of global economy. If we all know and understand that things are not going to be shared out the same. There is no respect for the work, there is no respect for the spilled blood. Who cries for the child killed because of the damned science, that has invented a cruel, indifferent and extremely cruel bomb and who makes that action seemed as nothing? What is happening to civilization? The criminals, the bad taste, the aberrant sense of power are justified, this is not peace, this is the kingdom of terror. What stability are you talking about? Where is justice and Love?
And when the man called madman, finished talking, he simply was thrown out of the auditorium, and the persons were thinking: " This poor one is crazy, how many more will be out there?"
